Trials in Portisco on a Swan 45
What does a sailor do on a lay-day? Right! Go sailing.
Me, Francesco and Lucas where invited to go sailing a Swan 45 in Porto Rotondo. It didn't look to good in the morning, but later on a thermal breeze kicked in and we went out for some tuning. After the last days on 118ft "Viriella", it was good to do some boathandling on the 45. We even did a peel from a symmetric to an asymmetric kite. I always love those kind of peels.
Out on the water there was this mega yacht with an extravagant looking sailplan. Some people doesn't seem to don't know how to spend their money..
The owner of the 45 has a cruising maxi and is here to do Swan Cup next week. He was very pleased about my performance. Unfortunately I have already planned Vele d'Epoca di Imperia on "Kipawa", a classic Marconi, but I gave him my business card. Always good to meet new owners.
