Heineken Regatta, St. Martin on Carrera
Heineken Regatta is over... and all the beer finished.
We didn't win on "Carrera", damn. Zero issues, we screwed up on one race with the code 0. We lost the first 2 races from 'Titan' and won the next 2, but the first race was the one around the island with more points. Anyway, is was super racing with 'the big boys' and it is a great reference. The crewdinner with limbo dancers and the "Carrera" sailing gear where a nice bonus for this weekend on the pedestals too. Thanks guys!
After the racing madness I helped Benjamin and Katrien preparing "Geronimo" for their charter. Dayworking on a friends boat, what more can you ask for? Benjamin told me that "Geronimo" is going to be sold soon. Next week after their charter he wants to get the boat in a top condition for the potential buyer. I could work for him for a week or so because the Yachtmaster Ocean course I still wanted to do that week is cancelled.. bummer. The next course at MSWI is only in may, so that's no option. The closest school would be Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but I need to find out what's up having no digital passport or Visa for the States. Maybe I need to get that Visa (B1, B2) whilst I am here. I hear you need to go to the embassy on Barbados for that. I will make it a mission this week.
Hey tonight I have a job for Sunsails! My first job as an official skipper now with my Yachtmaster hehe. It's just delivering a boat to Tortola, but it will be fun and the money is pretty good. I hope they have more jobs like that, would be cool to drive boats around with some friends.
